The finished room measures 4.72 × 4.13 × 6.89 in (L × W × H). Place it where you can see the chair and hearth from the front, with easy access to the lighting control.

• Test the lights before building. Connect the lighting as shown in the guide and check the touch control before fitting it into the scene. Switch off before adjusting connections, then test again before enclosing the wiring.
• Keep the numbered boards beside you. Release only the pieces needed for the current step. Put loose parts in a labelled tray and keep the board frames until the build is finished so numbers remain easy to trace.
• Check furniture orientation before fixing it. Dry-fit the fireplace surround, bookcase and clock parts on a level surface. Match their front and back faces to the guide so visible decoration and adjoining slots line up.
• Prepare books and printed details in small batches. Identify each piece before folding or attaching it. Use small amounts of adhesive where instructed, and keep completed books separate from loose printed pieces until their shelf or table is ready.
• Add the mantelpiece objects after the structure is stable. Let glued furniture joints set before placing flowers, candlesticks and the small clock. Use tweezers if helpful and check the layout against the guide before attaching each object.
