Book Nook - Detective Agency

The finished study measures 7.09 × 4.33 × 10.75 in (L × W × H). Check your shelf’s height and depth before choosing a spot. Keep the front clear to see the desk beneath the decorative clock, and leave access to the controls.

• Test the light and music first. Follow the guide to check the LED and music components before building them into the room. Switch off before adjusting electrical connections, and keep their controls accessible during trial-fitting.
• Release only the parts for the current step. Keep the numbered board frames until the build is finished. Place small loose pieces in a labelled tray beside the relevant diagram rather than emptying every board at once.
• Protect the fine roof cutouts. Support the roof and narrow decorative sections close to each board connection. If a piece catches, inspect the remaining cut bridges before easing it free; avoid twisting the full panel.
• Cut the decor sheets a few pieces at a time. Match each shape to its step before trimming. Dry-position it on the intended surface, then apply adhesive only as directed so printed faces stay clean and edges lie flat.
• Keep the clock face aligned. Compare the decorative dial, surrounding wall and neighbouring fittings with the guide before fixing them. Check the front view while access is open, so the large circular detail sits squarely in the room.
• Finish the desk before enclosing it. Trial-fit the desk, chair and bookcase to confirm access and orientation. Allow any glued papers and small objects to set before adding the next wall or shelf above them.
