Place the open view towards you so the stepping-stone path remains visible beneath the balconies. The illustrated side panels also make it suitable for the end of a row of books; check the finished dimensions against your shelf depth.

• Test the lights before building. Connect the lighting as shown in the guide and check the touch control before fitting it into the scene. Switch off before adjusting connections, then test again before enclosing the wiring.
• Keep the numbered boards beside you. Release only the pieces needed for the current step. Put loose parts in a labelled tray and keep the board frames until the build is finished so numbers remain easy to trace.
• Align balcony supports before adding the rails. Dry-fit the walls, floor supports and roof sections against the guide. Confirm the printed faces and corner angles before securing them, and press joints at their supports rather than through fine railings.
• Check the path layout before fixing garden details. Arrange the stepping stones, rocks and trees in the guide’s order before applying any required adhesive. Keep the path and lantern positions clear so later pieces can be fitted without reaching through finished foliage.
• Complete the rear room while it is accessible. Look ahead before fitting the upper balcony or front frame. Place the cabinet and wall decorations at the stage shown in the guide, and check the lighting before the roof sections restrict access.
